Getting to Vienna

Arriving at Vienna International Airport? We recommend traveling by rail or bus to the city center:

• City Airport Train (CAT): A 16-minute direct train with regular service to Wien Mitte. 

• Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB): Multiple trains that travel to Vienna Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and other areas around the city. Our personal favorite is the S7 line. 

• Vienna Airport Bus: Several express buses travel from the airport to Vienna's West Station (Westbahnhof) and Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz.

• Taxi: For taxi service, we recommend using the Bolt app. Trips to the city center are usually between EUR 40 and 60.

By Train
Arriving at either Vienna's Central or West stations? Get to your final destination using our excellent public transit network, or via Bolt.

Navigating Vienna
The best way to get around the city is by using Vienna's excellent public transit network, Wiener Linien. You can download their app, WienMobil (also available in English) to buy tickets and for navigation.
